Bacon Square Farm at Minnesota State Fair

We'll have a booth at the State Fair St Paul Mn that begins Thursday, August 26th and runs through Labor Day, Monday September 6th.

Our booth is located in the lower level of the Grand Stand  and we'll be there from 9am to 9pm each day.

Waiting to Plant Soybeans

Waiting to plant soybeans~ it's been wet the past few weeks so machinery hangs out on the farm yard. John Deere 24 row planter 20" spacing and trac John Deere Tractor

John Deere Combine

Close up of John Deere Combine largest made by Deere with Graco corn head 24 row header with 20" spacing which means it's 40 ft wide. The Graco corn head chops stalks after the ear corn has been pulled off. Needless to say this machine is very hungry and eats copious amounts of grain ie corn for breakfast. lol.

John Deere Trac Tractor pulling a Kinze Grain Cart which holds 1100 bushels of corn or soybeans and safely fills a semi trailer which handles 800 to 900 bushels of crop allowing the combine to not stop on the ends to unload.

Soybean crop head carrier 35ft long used to transport the head on highways and rural back roads, safety is most important.

John Deere mean green machine notice the size of this combine compared to the old machine shed that once housed all of Pete's fathers machinery back in the 1940's thru 1960's. The size of implements has tripled.

Rusting Au Natural

Pete mixes up his special rusting brew and allows mother nature to finish the process, they sunbath near the barn or on top of the old silo, people think we are crazy when they see all these rusting objects and we are. lol.

Miss Pepper Our New Border Collie

Hello~ my name is Miss Pepper I'm a 5 year old Border Collie female and I'm so thankful that Pete and Tanya rescued me from the Human Society. I love living on the farm where I can roam, romp and play ball with my new family who loves me uncondionally. They tell me I've brought them love and laughter~!


Just give me sticks and I'm happy~

Colonial Charm Birdhouse Featured in October 2009 Issue of ~This Old House Magazine~

We were contacted by This Old House Magazine this past summer, they wanted one of our birdhouses for the October 2009 issue of there magazine. Needless to say we were honored to have been chosen.

Garter Snake by "MY" Picture Taking Tree~ How dare Him.....

Yes the snake is harmless, garter species but~ doesn't he know it's My backyard and MY tree for picture taking for Etsy, geez, lol. Got the pictures taken of our new style birdhouse for Etsy.

Wrens do love our birdhouses~ have to control myself tho, I want to push in the sticks hanging out the opening, we enjoy watching them from the kitchen window. Love birds and nature.
